Abstract
The purpose of this study is to verify the moderating effects of the supervisory relationship between self-efficacy and burnout experienced play therapists. The subjects of this study are 169 play therapists who have worked in the field of play therapy in Korea. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, among the sub-factors of the supervisory relationship, both structure and play therapists¡¯ self-efficacy had a negative correlation with burnout. Second, the total score of the supervisory relationship and its sub-factors (structure, reflective education) had largely moderating effects on the relationship between play therapists¡¯ self-efficacy and burnout. In conclusion, this study confirmed the moderating effects of the supervisory relationship between self-efficacy and burnout among play therapists. Understanding these relationships will help us verify the importance of the environmental aspects which operate within the supervisory relationship and provided the basis for supervisors to intervene in protecting play therapists from burnout.
